About Troop 936
Troop 936 is sponsored by the Men’s Club at the Church of St. Benedict. Our scouts come from many schools, faiths, and Cub Scout packs across the greater Broken Arrow community.
Troop philosophy
Scouts have the most fun when they are hiking, exploring, and challenging themselves. We emphasize lightweight camping: scouts carry their own food and gear, cook on portable stoves, and backpack into campsites even when a vehicle could reach the site.
That approach teaches scouts to pack only what they need, keep track of their equipment, and spend more time enjoying the outdoors instead of managing heavy camp setups.
Program goals
- Build character through the Scout Oath and Law
- Develop outdoor skills through hands-on experience
- Prepare scouts for leadership roles in the troop and beyond
- Support scouts on the trail to Eagle Scout
- Fundraise together (including popcorn sales) to help cover summer camp
